D90 HD video mode

I got a little problem and Im wondering if others with A Nikon D90 has the same..Every time I shoot video with the D90 and use the HD settings, that after they have shot say 3 minutes or longer the photos they take afterwards don't seem right.. I was at an event at the weekend and used my video a lot for the 1st time but every time I went back to takin the photos ,everything was out..Over exposed,color etc.

Ive come back home and had a look on my pc and they are horrible pictures compared to before Ive shot HD video.

Anybody seen this or is it my D90 thats bricked.

Could be due to the sensor overheating, this is why it limits the recording time.
 
You are probably seeing the effects of the sensor heating up from using video.

Do the photos go back to normal if you leave the camera for a while after shooting video?
 
Yeah sort of ..The sky in particular gets blown out big style ..the photos before are all nice and blue with fluffy white clouds.

Ive taken over 16Gb of pictures this weekend and have gone through a lot and see a difference from when I shoot HD so maybe the sensor is overheating...

Ive had a look at photos taken well after shooting HD and these are getting somewhere to what Im used to but I feel the sensor might loose a lot of its sensor if you know what I mean and its starting to bug me knowing this and i feel my photos arent quality like they used to..

According to the manual (p51) it is normal to see changes in noise and colours after shooting video or using LV for a certain amount of time. This should not be permanent, as there is a temperature sensor that will shut the camera down if the sensor gets too hot.

If you can see definite changes in your pics then I would send the camera in for warranty repair as something else might be wrong.
