D90 Picture settings

I have a Nikon D90 and occassionly photograph weddings.
I set picture size to large and quality to fine. however, during the course of the day I am somehow inadvertantly changing these settings to medium/small and normal/basic. I'm sure i'm not changing these through the memu settings, therefore does anyone know what I'm doing wrong and more importantly is there a way to stop this happening in the future as I'm now getting paranoid and checking the settings every five minutes. :bonk:

If you hold the zoom(in) button on the bottom left(back side) and rotate the wheel you change the picture qual settings, maybe you're doing that accidentally, since is it located right below the button you would use to change ISO, could be.
