D90 replacement, how have Nikon kept the secret?

As title really, in these days of internet communication it seems amazing that no one has any real idea of what the replacement will even be called, let alone the spec.

Good on Nikon for keeping the secret, but I for one will be looking at this very careful when it is announced.

Nikon have tightened up - in 2008 the D3X was being flashed around at Donna Nook at least 2 months before the announcement.

I think they've reigned in their "tame" Pros since then.

Nikon will probably leak it themselves when they are ready - probably on some online training video, that gets "pulled" but not before a buzz is created. When it leaks, it'll be pretty much intentional.
