D90 viewfinder issue [green lights not working]

Recently the green LED lights [that show your shutter speed, ISO etc ... inside the VF] on my D90 have shut down. Sometimes they glow for a few seconds, but not giving proper info, then just ... go out.

Anyone got any idea how to fix this?

It'll probably be an expensive fix, it's not a new camera. I might just have to live with it as is :(
