I took seven shots at slightly different focal points of the inside of the trumpet of a daffodil, and used CombineZP ( a free software tool) to stack all seven images to create the final image.
Once the stack was complete, I selected the centre filaments and on a separate layer sharpened them with a high pass filter at 60% opacity, and then in a new layer, inverted the selected area and ran NR on it, before a soft NR over the flattened image.
Finally, after adding the drop shadow border, I ran two passes of USM after reducing the image size for the web.
C&C as always.
