Looks like my D90 has hit a fairly common problem.

Just got it out of the bag and the battery was dead. Put the spare in and used it, but when I turned it off, the green card access light keeps on flashing.

It only stops when you turn the camera on, take the battery out or remove the SD card.

Googled it and got quite a few hits with the same problem.

It is about 4 months old, if I return it to Argos, are they just likely to sent it off to Nikon ?

Quick update on this.

Don't you just love the common sense of some companies.

I sent the camera and all request paper work ( including the receipt ).

It was registered on their system on Thursday and showing as 'awaiting estimate'.

Rang them this morning and queried how long it would be and they told me they could not read the date on the receipt and if I faxed over the receipt again they would do it straight away under warranty.

The D90 comes with a 2 year warranty and was only introduced in August 2008, so every UK purchased D90 is still under warranty :bang:

They had the receipt to prove I purchased it.

did you register it on the Nikon site? Quite useful if only to keep a note of the serial numbers in case of theft...

so why didnt they use their own records!!!
