Dark places to shoot the moon

I live in Chelmsford and was wondering if anyone knew any nice places with less light pollution so I can setup and try and get some nice clear pics of the moon?

North East Essex Astronomy Society (http://northessexastro.wordpress.com/about/) meet at Great Notley Country Park near Braintree. Might be a good place to ask about and get some suggestions?

Oh wow i never thought of that place. My girlfriend teaches in a school in Notley. I'll have to check it out.
