LOL, thanks Simon.
Very nice, I like the lines and angles.
Thank you Dominic, yeah all of the new bridges seem to have supporting cables. They make for interesting images.
Good set there Bill, bridgefest week. Looks busy in that last shot
Thanks Keith, it gets me from one week to the next...

Week 30 Shadows (and technique, I think)

I went to North Vancouver yesterday morning but, of course, all I got was clouds and rain...

By the time I got home, the sun had come out so I grabbed my camera, again, and took my little one out for a walk.

I decided to go with black and white for all of the resulting images.

nice ones Bill, penultimate pic for me.

Let me see how close I was. ;)

Fab set Bill. No4 is my fave :)

I'd have been happy with any of them., but your chosen shot gets it for me. I really like how dense the shadows are.

Good set - really like your second shot, the flyover
Thanks Paul, the Skytrain tracks make for some strong leading lines and shadows. Not my best shot of them, but I kind of liked it.

Thanks Wayne, I originally wasn't thinking of it for this challenge, I just liked the composition and thought that the white graffiti would work well in b&w

Thanks Dave
I really like that (the 1st image) it's nice and grungy.
LOL, my thought exactly!

Week 31 Close-up Portrait

I'm not much for taking portraits but I saw something similar to this on a Facebook group that I follow and thought that I'd give it a go. A multi-exposure, blended in PS and edited in LR and Nik Efexs

Spooky! I like it :)

Excellent ;)

That looks great, almost like an impressionistic pencil sketch.

Excellent ;)
Thanks Jak.
Very good!
Thank you Paul.
I like that, it really grabs you.
Thanks Keith, not bad for a quick grab with only a few minute set-up :)
That really works!
Thanks Alan
Very good, if not a little scary.
LOL, that's what I was kind of going for...
That looks great, almost like an impressionistic pencil sketch.
thanks Nick.
I do like it though probably not one to print and put on the wall :)
LOL, funny thing is that I was thinking of printing it...
Nice one Bill,
Thanks Simon
It's an interesting technique and definitely produces an image that stands out.
Thank you Kell, sometimes just playing around yields some interesting results.

Week 32 Quiet Times

I thought that I'd walk around the city. Not really quiet anywhere in the city but there are spots where people can go and at least be calm...

Seating along the river at New Westminster Quay

Week 32 - Quiet 1.jpg

A quiet place to have a smoke

Week 32 - Quiet 2.jpg

Sometimes you have to crawl down below the sidewalk

Week 32 - Quiet 3.jpg

Lots of small parks scattered about the city

Week 32 - Quiet 4.jpg

And if you can find a park, then there is always the odd plaza

Week 32 - Quiet 5.jpg

And if there are no parks or plazas nearby, you can always find an apple for a quiet conversation...:p
