Looking for user reviews.
I'm unhappy with the quality of print from my Epson R2880 - bizarrely this seems to be a recent deterioration. Printer issue? Maybe, but...
Printer seems fine and I use Epson OE inks exclusively.
Camera and monitor are both calibrated.
Current paper of choice is Permajet Oyster 271.
I'm using Permajet's ICC profiles and suggestions for printer settings.
Latest job is to print a studio image for a client and it's proving to be a problem - the prints I'm getting are lifeless and dull, with a poor colour match (to the monitor).
Monitor is set to the lower end of brightness, roughly 100cd/m2.

I want to try custom ICC profiling and am thinking of buying the Datacolor Spyder Print. The reviews I can find are encouraging - just wanted to ask for feedback on here.
Of course there are ICC profiling services I could use at lower cost....

TIA.

Have you checked your settings to make sure you aren't double profiling?

You could also try the Permajet profile service, I use it on my two printers
Download a test page, print and post it off to Permajet who then email back a personalised profile.

I surmise you have not changed your workflow......but is it perhaps an aRGB vs sRGB question

I found Qimage One solved my print color problems with epson surecolor, similar to your printer i think.
