Day at Pensthorpe (as used by BBC Springwatch)

Being about an hour or so from us, er went and had a look around Pensthrope waterfrowl park today (nr Fakenham) - a really good day out and recommended.

Below are half a dozen pics I took from today with 50-200 zoom lens....

No photoshopping so far other than to resize to 800 pixels along longest axis....

6. My fave. The duck in a hammock pic! In the conservation area are some crane pens with a black netting "roof." - This cheeky little mallard was enjoying an afternoon sunning himself about 20 ft from the hide itself.

I am surprised no-one has yet commented on this lovely set. I especially like the stork and chick. I hope the drake did not get his feet caught in that netting

Great place and a fine set, im suprised the Stork set does not have a ring. The Western -crowned crane makes a fine subject.
