boo hoo, one of our 40ds, just dies, will not come on, totally dead, me thinks the exteranl PSU may be duff and took the camera out

and wow, because it is never taken off a tripod or really handled, it looks like brand new ! aprt from being dead.

anyone know a good repairer.

DC/DC Board by the sounds of it, happened to mine, basically its blown a fuse

Canon at Elstree did mine efficiently for a one off cost of £154

cool, sent it off to colchester camera repir, they said if its a fuse its around £105.

Time to get the 6d's sorted me thinks.

It was packaged and ready to go by the time the second reply came in, you snooze you lose. Ad to be honest there was only one suggestion

I've also used Colchester in the past and found them to be very good. When the diaphragm failed on my 35-350mm L lens, they were the only guys with the part!

Brill, sound ok on the phone, no charge for looking and quoting etc, only charge if its not fixed/agreed is the return postage which is great.

Just ordered a 6D any excuse to buy stuff. should be here tomorrow.

Colchester Cameras are a Canon UK approved repair centre.
