My 30d stopped working yesterday .... :crying:

It has been a bit temperamental over the last couple of months. Refusing to turn on ... And off. :bat:

Canon Uk was very nice on the phone and asked for me to send it to their hospital in Elstree for some tlc. :hug:

Going to be a bit grouchy for the next week or two now.

Anyone got the number for the Samaritans ... Just in case!

you should get a tracking no if via ups which should give you a delivery date, which will almost certainly be the next day :):):)(y)
 
I wonder if they will ever tell me what was wrong with it?

Sods law suggests that it worked fine for them so they wrapped it back up and sent it back.

Anyone else had to send their's back?
 
All my babies have been fine over the years :)
 
My 30D has been fine so far but your post has made me nervous now.....!

The D30 was always a tempremental little sod though - occasionally refuses to turn on whatever you do and you have to take the battery out, give it 10 seconds or so, put it back in and it's fine again. First time it happened was just after I got it and the other half had been fiddling with it. I swore at him for a good ten minutes before working out how to sort it out!
 
Got the little blighter back this afternoon.

It seems to me like they have done very little to it.

One thing they did do was a soak test. What is a soak test?

Even though I know there is a problem with it .... They did not find anything.

Will just have to wait until it happens again
 
Soak test would be like a burn in test of pc equipment, that is they run it for a long period to see if any faults show up.
