Dead canon 30D?

I'm really scare my canon 30D, my first camera I bought a year ago is doing weird stuff.

The mode selected is not coherent with what I select with the wheel on top of the body (M,Av,T)
I can't get manual to work (it's in a full auto mode instead)
I can't get Av to work it seem to be in Speed priority
....

What happening is it dying :bang:

It sounds as though the dial has been knocked around by a notch.

no it's more complex really incoherent, can't get the manual to work and if i'm in Av, which seems like Tv I can't turn the +/- compensation. Seems quiet broken.....

"removing the battery, then turning on with no battery (discarge circits) then replace battery and switch on"
yes i've tried but didn't work. Not sure if doing this really discharge the battery....

The camera was working a few days ago and has not be knocked or chocked recently...

Really gutting.
