Dead Swan and Cygnet

My wife and I are both retired and keen amateur wildlife photographers and felt quite sick today when we found the bodies of a mother swan and one cygnet floating together in a dyke on the Romney Marsh in Kent.

By virtue of the fact that the two swans are together suggests to us that they died together with some human help.

We have telephoned the R.S.P.C.A. and emailed D.E.F.R.A. with the details and SatNav location so hopefully the can find a cause of death and take whatever action is necessary.
