Deals on 70-200 Nikkor

As title, any deals going for a new Nikkor 70-200 VR going? Best I've seen is around £1500:shrug:

If it's a VRII, yes - if it's just VR that's about going rate.

Is the VR II a much improved version in your opinion or is there little in it?

the vr11 is not that much of an improvment and sufferes from focus breathing the only improvment is the vr is slightly better.

No breathing with the VR then, and is IQ on a par?

from what i have seen the image quality is on par, the mk does vinette on full frame a little in extreme conditions(but nothing p&p cant sort out) and as your using a crop camera d90 you will have no probs with vignetting, some people say the mk2 is sharper from my own experiance this is not the case and from reviews i have seen the mk1 was sharper, af speed is the same,
this will show you the difference of the focus breathing between the mk1 and mk2.
