Decent camera for the parents upto £200?

I don't really know where to start with this one so any pointers very gratefully received.

My sister got our parents a little Casio Exilim point & shoot a few years back, and really, the experiment has failed.

They complain that:-

• The screen is useless in any kind of sunlight
• It has no viewfinder, which, combined with the poor screen makes things very hard.
• The zoom is "cheap" - I think they mean the button feels cheap and the action is hard to control.

I think they'd happily use something a bit more bulky if it addressed the above issues.

I'm inclined to just recommend a Canon Powershot as I've always been impressed with the Canon products I've owned, but can anyone recommend specifications to look for that mean the LCD screen might suit them better for example.

I really would love any suggestions as I find cameras quite hard to research for some reason. Canon for instance seem to have a million ranges and even within ranges (like the Powershot, for example) there seems to be little commonality between models.

From my reading so far the only real contender is the Canon Powershot SX150.

If I could change it, I'd want it slimmer, with a dedicated rechargeable battery, but otherwise it sounds like the screen's good and it's a Canon, with Canon's ergonomics (a personal preference, I appreciate) and the controls all look and sound like they're of decent quality.

Any other suggestions for contenders very gratefully received.
