I don't really know where to start with this one so any pointers very gratefully received.
My sister got our parents a little Casio Exilim point & shoot a few years back, and really, the experiment has failed.
They complain that:-
I'm inclined to just recommend a Canon Powershot as I've always been impressed with the Canon products I've owned, but can anyone recommend specifications to look for that mean the LCD screen might suit them better for example.

- The screen is useless in any kind of sunlight
- It has no viewfinder, which, combined with the poor screen makes things very hard.
- The zoom is "cheap" - I think they mean the button feels cheap and the action is hard to control.
