Decent Monopod & Head for under 100?

I've got the Giottos MML3290B the extra height is handy if stood on the side of a hill. For the head I use a Manfrotto 234 RC2 Tilt head. I've tried ball heads but found it difficult unlocking and locking the head as well as adjusting whilst supporting the 'pod too fidly, especially when to adjust up down angle all I have to do is adjust the monopod angle, and the tilt allows for portrait shots. However since getting a lens with tripod ring I don't use this option much either.
Combined these come to about £63

Anyone help me here please.

I'm reading 50/50 things about the Manfrotto 496RC2 and Manfrotto 494RC2 ball head not being good enough for a larger camera + lens.

I need to know it will 100% hold a a Canon 7D with a 70-300L attatched.

I can't see any problems with that set up. If the 70-300L has a tripod ring all the better.
The only thing I would say is that its a lot of weight to keep steady if the monopod is at an angle, but with the head being adjustable you shouldn't have any problems.

I have the same set up as Chris, and that little head has supported my 5DMKIII with a 100-400 attached (via the tripod ring).
My main head is a 496RC2 and that holds the above fine as well, although I only use it on a tripod.
