Decent Photo printer (A4) with cheap ink

Hi all,
I'm trying to find some info on a decent A4 Inkjet/Bubblejet for photo printing (and general use too of course). Thing is, I want to get one that has compatible inks freely available, as i refuse to pay the manufacturers prices.

Can anyone recommend me something decent around £50-70 ish?

If I remember rightly, the Epson R240 scored quite highly and has a wide range of compatible inks available. It also falls well within your budget.

i have the epson R200 which i have just printed out lots of bird pictures on, the quality is brilliant and the ink is cheap too.

Thanks folks - ordered one, and some 5x7" photo paper to go along with it.

Have a look at 7dayshop.com for paper - the ICI Olmec paper if on offer takes some beating as does their own make using the photo quality glossy film setting. Both give excellent results on the old trusty 1290 and "inexpensive" inks . . . nothing a forum member uses is cheap!
