Paper or Vinyl?

I have a portable background mounting kit, that I set up in a local hall to do photos, so far I have use a cotton sheet but its time to renew this and so was looking at the cheap Vinyl from tonybeal lorry company. Im just not sure if my portable stand would hold the weight?

Or then do I go for a paper roll? I really can't decide.

Price wise they would work out about the same.

Any thoughts?

Allan

Oh - and - where might be the cheapest place for paper roll if i decide to go for this?

Vinyl is a good choice - but do you know the weight?
Have you asked the manufacturers of your mounting kit whether it will safely take that weight?

Is it a goalpost type like this one? If so, it would be a very good idea to sandbag the stands for safety

Hi Garry

Yes it is like the one you link to. I must admit I have forgotten where I got it, but it looks very like that one.

The vinyl is "I forgot to mention that it is quite heavy (11-12k for 5 metres if I remember) so be prepared to use a fairly sturdy backdrop system/mount." from a post of another thread
