Dedicated Time Lapse, Nature + Events.

Now this is a bit away but i thought i would do some digging.

I have recently become a warden at my local nature reserve and as such i am allowed 24/7 access. The public are only allowed in Wed-Sunday and the reserve closes Oct-March.

So, i find myself with a large area of land that is fenced, so the public accessing the area is very rare, if at all. There is lots of activity in the reserve from Bagders, Foxes etc.

I have been looking into getting a dedicated timelapse/ IR Sensor camera for a bit.

Features needed:

• Waterproof
• Small and not easily seen
• Timelapse function
• Video function
• Adjustable shutter speed (upto 30 seconds would be great)

Does anyone have experince with such things? I know that like all things you get what you pay for, but i have found this Clicky

And wondered what the picture quality might be like. Ive had trouble googling for reviews as i cant quite work out what its called.

What Cameras have you used? Budget is everything and could go to around £250 as i could use it as a fun thinga at my work and for events etc

My understanding is that the one that most commonly used by professionals is the Bushnell Trophy Cam. There are a number of different models with different specifications. They start at about £180 and go up to £300+. Warehouse Express has a reasonable selection.

I can't say i've used them Tom, but i have read abit about them. What would you be putting one down for? to capture photo's to visit the site with an slr? only reason i ask is they dont give a great photo is all.

It would serve a multitude of purposes.

Being put up and taking photos to make a timelapse of an event, say a gallery being built, people viewing, and then it being taken down...

Also, Nature. Ive got access to this woodland now and it would be cool to capture the nature at night, and also during the day when no one is around. I would also like to try it producing a sunset to sunrise star trails shot.

Flowers opening.... bugs appearing. really the list is endless, but would like decent quality photos, and would be happy to sacrifice the video for that.
