Hi all this is an approach to photography myself and my company have been working on lately. Its called various things we happen to use the excellent free www.gigapan.com site which allows us to upload our Gigapixel images for viewing.

as you can see on this link we ran a competition which is now closed where we hid pineapples in the image for people to find.
The actual image is created by taking 198 photographs of the town on a 400mm lens and then stitching them all together. The resulting image is 2.38gigabytes in size.. and has a physical length greater than a football pitch.
