Deleting Downloaded Files On A Mac

I had a look today and found that pretty much everything I've ever downloaded is saved in my downloads folder but I can't seem to delete any of it. There is prob a really simple way of doing this but I can't find it.

I can delete stuff from mine..

Right Click and select

"Move to Trash"

Or do you mean the list of downloaded items in like Safari? If so you can clear them

Window > Downlaods > Clear (bottom corner)

It's stuff I've downloaded like songs and actions for PS etc. You can move them individually to the trash but there has to be a quicker way

select all?

Highlight one, press control and A, drag to trash, job done.
