Yes
I have a Dell 2209WA which I absolutely love, for the past few months I've had the screen in portrait using the stand it came with as I've been doing more coding than photo work, when rotating it back it appears like something has "run" inside the screen, it can't be seen when turned off and I've never had liquids anywhere near the monitor to spill any on it. I've added a pic although it's not very clear, it looks a lot worse than the camera makes out.

Are Dell fairly easy to work with when it comes to "pro" screens or are they going to kick up a fuss? I couldn't see it on white but it is really strong on solid colours.

they are meant to be pretty good, Im not sure about your individual case. They may be a company that looks for anything to argue about, having never used them its hard to tell.

business support wise we've never had any issue with getting warrenty repairs at work before.

thats good to hear since i have 2 of their monitors coming my way in a week!

the accidental damage cover is also handy, we just had a new screen on one of our laptops after one of our users tripped on the power lead and then trod on the screen.. no problems, engineer out next day and sorted.

If it's faulty, they won't argue. They don't take that much persuading to replace parts out of warranty either, I had a ton of problems with my old Dell laptop and I kept making them replace parts out of warranty, until eventually they replaced my 2 year old faulty laptop with a much more expensive brand new one :D

They have always been quick and efficient at replacing faulty parts, the problem I've had is the number of faulty parts....

Dell are superb with warranty stuff and the big plus with monitors is the claims dept is in Glasgow so at least I can understand them!

Nice to know it should be easy, I'll have a chat with work to see if I can arrange a collection from there as I'm not at home much anymore.

Thanks for the comments :)
