Indeed. However... here are some facts.
The U2713HM uses a standard gamut LG panel, whereas it's predecessor used a wide gamut CCFL backlit panel, so the 2713 is only sRGB capable, and the older 2711 is nearer Adobe RGB gamut. Unless you are very well versed in colour management though (pre prepared to learn) a narrow gamut sRGB screen will be "safer" for you as there will be less scope to get things wrong. The U2711, if you can still get one new, is a superior screen though. However, the U2713H is wide gamut.
One thing I feel is VERY important, is the difference between the two links at the top of the thread.

redlion linked to the Del U2713HM. There's a single, but big difference between them. The "H" model can be hardware profiled using the i1 Display Pro and
Dell's custom calibration software., whereas the "HM" can not, and can only be software profiled. These are NOT the same monitor, and you are NOT getting the same screen for less from redlion's link.
If you are getting this screen, make sure you understand which you are getting. Many retailers advertise the HM model as the H. If you see a H at around the 420 mark (same as the HM) then it's probably a HM.
You're investing a reasonable amount in a new 27" screen, so my advice would be to also budget for a calibrator, and this is where some choices need to be made. If you get the i1 Display Pro calibrator (£160ish) AND the H model... you can profile it at the 14bit hardware level. This has many advantages. A) Accuracy, and B) tonal fidelity. Basically, hardware profiling rocks! Previously, hardware profiling has been the reserve of high end screens like the Eizo CG and NEC Reference ranges of screens, but the Dell U2413H and U2713H bring hardware profiling to lower end screens for the first time. Dell's harware profiling is limited to using the i1 Display Pro and
ity's own custom software though.
Both screens are great, but the HM would be software profiled instead, and is narrower gamut.
Forget the AOC monitor someone linked to.... just not in the same league.
No idea of your budget, but I would be looking at the H model and a i1 Display Pro calibrator.
Further reading on this model chucks up some more info! I see some of your replies have similar info - I see to calibrate it is only compatible with the X-Rite i1 so this would be another expense I had not factored in.....mmmm
It can be calibrated with anything.... but only HARDWARE profiled with the i1 Display Pro... and then only with the "H" model.. NOT the "HM".
That isn't quite right , you can still calibrate the screen the same way you would any other screen, the i1 display pro is only needed if you wish to calibrate the screens internal LUT
..but only with the "H" model... not the "HM".
I just feel it;s important to re-iterate the difference, as many people I know have gone off half cocked and bought the wrong one. Dell's model naming here is terrible, and more needs to be made of the differences. I feel they should be totally difference model numbers to avoid the confusion.
