I prefer #1, although it would help I could make sense of what her hands are on. She seems a little lost in #2. I have been to Puerto Rico a number of times, but I don't recognise the bridge in #2, where is it? Lovely lady.
I didn't think it was a bridge as the ground is level with it so thought it was decking nice sharp images I think the 2nd would benefit from a slightly less exaggerated pose and maybe eye contact to draw in the viewer.
My GLW went to Central High School in Santurce (there is an image of the school on Abnel's flickr account) and she reckons that the bridge is in the visitor's centre in El Yunque. Since I walked on the said bridge this year, the old bit of grumpy old man is kicking in.
I like the first shot, although maybe just a little too tight in the frame, id have given it just a little more room.
Not keen on the second one, fine the pose to rigid. What a nice area to shoot in though
