I have a weekend in denmark at a place called Horsens next april. Considering extending the stay for some sightseeing/photography. Has anyone been to denmark? Googling the area its all a bit f lat and "english" looking so wondered if theres some good places within easy reach. Copenhagen is probably too far.

I would suggest Møns Klint for a little non-flatness but it looks too far unless you relocated closer to Copenhagen for a few days. There's bits of Denmark can look a little like the UK, but the differences are in the details.

The original LegoLand is at Billund and quite something to see....it's less than an hours drive from Horsens.

I haven't been to that part of Denmark, but it's worth mentioning that Denmark is a pretty small country and the towns and cities are well connected by a very reasonably priced rail network. If you get the chance, I'd recommend Copenhagen and also Roskilde (the Viking shipyard, in particular, but the whole town is very pretty).

Hi. Legoland sounds fun and I'll see about trains. Saw the road bridge to Copenhagen is an incredible £30 each way toll! Surely a train has to be cheaper! We thought we'd take the car on the ferry from Harwich, but the current price is £500 return. Air fares (oh I hate the idea of Ryanscare) is about £150 each return. Either way it isn't a cheap trip.

You could try up north around Hjorring and Skagen (about 250km from Horsens), it's very photogenic round there

Hi. Just asking for input: I've investigated some options. Thinking of flying Norweigan Air to Copenhagen and staying a couple of nights in Copenhagen, then getting the train to Horsens (£88 each return). All told, based on prices, it works out at approx £520, roughly the price of the car and 2 people on the ferry. Any good ideas for sightseeing in Copenhagen? I'm thinking the usual, Tivoli, Canalsides, may be a bus tour, and Christianian? Any help in planning this so I don't bore the pants of my OH LOL
