Derwent Reservoir

Had an afternoon to myself in the peaks a couple of weeks ago, so took the camera up to Derwent reservoir for my first ever attempt at taking landscapes.
It was a really hazy day, and the middle of the afternoon doesn't provide the best light ever, but what do you think....

good pictures, the only thing thats bothering me is that there seems to be a halo around the tower in the first picture.

did you stand at the top where the two pools join , the different is mad

Hmm, I see the halo now you mention it. I think it's due to pulling the highlights back quite a lot as the sky was pretty blown in the original.

I didn't get any higher than the first dam due to time constraints, but I'm already planning a return visit.
