Just wanted some help in making a descision.

I am raising the money to purchase a camera to replace my 400d.

I am shooting more sports than anything else, although I have moved into studio based photography.

The 400d does not give me enough fps and I was looking into a 1d, which I would love to own, however the limit on funds is going to be around the £600 mark which would easily get me a mark 1 and I could even get a mark 2, however I have seen that 50d's are selling for 550-600 second hand and they have 6.3 fps (3 fps less than the 1d but double the 400d).

So the question is simple, what would you choose? and if you have the time why?

I've not used a 50D, but the 1D autofocus was a mind blowing upgrade from the 30D...

that was another concern. I have not used any of this series (10d - 50d), think I need to go and test drive one

Kerso is selling brand new 50D's for £649 I think....... Bargain at the price!
