well im self employed builder but i would like to possibly mix the photography in as well some how !
as for target not sure
style not sure about that either i don't like the normal text
 
I had a quick go for a laugh but I couldnt think of any ideas. Heres my rubbish 5 minute work. :lol:

If you are a builder who wants to do photography then you could try combining the two. Scaffolding in the shape of a tripod holding up the logo, a crane lifting a telephoto lens onto a chimney etc.

We could do something for you. How much would you want to spend?

sorry i hadn't thought really im open to options im thinking of have 2 websites but combining both with the name i think so then i can have the logo and just transport it around if you like ie

debrito builders or what ever
debrito images or what ever
it the name as a logo i guess that's the important bit so then it gives me more of a pro look as as posed to jack of all trade like builder and photography

I need an extension building, don't want to pay anything though, how you fixed?

Sorry but graphic design is a talent, same as building and photographing, and therefore it means you need to pay to get a decent job.

A decent brand identity is worth its wait in gold, and you will be hard pushed to get anything amazing done for free.

It just seems that people moan about people expecting a free photo shoot, but not a free design job.

No offence meant, but hopefully you can see my point.

I dunno... Im a design student and im well tempted to give it a go for a bit of loose change. ;)

Youll always find people around like me! you just need to look around!

Couldn't agree more! As a designer myself, it does make me laugh how little value others put on my skills... including my own boss, unfortunately :-(

Problem is when your qualified, working in the industry, will you still be happy with loose change for a living? There will always be people like you. When your trying to earn a living, these "people like you" are the ones who mean you don't get work, or paid decently if you do.
 
No sorry guys i am willing to pay don't get me wrong i just have no idea how much these things cost im sorry if i came across wrong i was joking sense the lol it was intended as a joke like i say i know nothing about theses things, so any prices are welcomed i just don't:shrug: know how it works ??
 
Sorry I did see that after someone pointed it out, no offence meant at all. It is just people don't sometimes see the harm they do in taking jobs for little or no money.

I don't even do much design work any more (I teach it instead) but I cannot understate how getting a decent identity behind your business is something that cannot be under estimated. Done right, it will bring in way more revenue to your business than it will cost.
 
ok seems i have upset a few people (sorry) and i apologise again!!! sorry i had every intention on paying, maybe the world of text has been misleading on my part,

How does it work? i pay you fixed price, you come up with ideas 1,2,3, and then i pay or what sorry its not something i have ever had to deal with
please educate me and then hopefully i can get something done with logo

also what do you need to know ?:thinking:

I know a company that will design 5 logos for £25.

He's a builder, at least take a sharp intake of breath, perhaps a puff of a cigarette, then follow with "well, I dunno what monkey had a go at this last for you mate, but it's gonna cost ya"... :D
