Hi folks,
Looking for some advice really, came home on Friday to find that my 5 year old desktop PC has given up the ghost, I think its either the motherboard / cpu or gpu as it was fine and then suddenly no output to the monitor and it won't boot, I've been meaning to replace it anyway but wasn't expecting it just to go!
Anyhow looking to spend around £500 on a laptop to tide me over until I eventually get round to building a new desktop later on in the year, it doesn't have to be amazing, I have an Xbox 360 for gaming and I imagine anything in the price range will run Football Manager perfectly!
Probably looking for around 15" screen although its unlikely to be moved much outside my flat so bigger would be ok but I have a 19" monitor I can use to plug into.
I get some discount via Apple, HP and Dell through my work, Apple I will discount as I'm not really wanting to spend a fortune, I am quite keen on the HP Laptops and some of the Pavillion range look very nicely priced and specced but I don't really know enough about the AMD Processors to know if I'm being sold a lemon or not!
Any advice / help would be greatly appreciated as I'm reduced to my HTC Desire for browsing right now!
