Maybe the odd one or two of them aren't massive twunts.wonder why the mahoosive divide between them
Mine was in the 27k some less than 100 quid.......wonder why the mahoosive divide between them
Mine spent £24k
he might spend a bit less if he listened to his constituents and replied by email, rather than wasting paper, envelopes, postage etc replying by letter to everything. But at least saves money by ignoring any further comments they may send them on the matter.
I personally do not think that MPs should be able to claim for travel to London if they live in the South East or other commutable area - we all pay for our own travel to get to work every day - so why don't they?
@KitsuneAndy its not clear what the travel is for in the expenses. if its for meeting at the house of commons/lords then i think that should be considered their normal place of work.
my MP has been a useless idiot in anything ive contacted him about so maybe id be a bit more forgiving if he had been helpful
For David that is surely just the Uber bill from number 10 to Houses of Parliament.David Cameron 5703
Jeremy Corbyn 7141
Alex Salmond 17636
I seriously hope it wasn't this website. My MP wasn't too bad. Ivan Lewis, total 29k so far.
Mostly direct constituency office costs and London accommodation costs.
I don't think I saw any travel there either, which is nice.
I then sorted the spreadsheet by amount claimed.
There were plenty for things like "Food and drink for when in constituency, amount, 30p"
I get small stuff can add up, but come on.....
Then
Johnny Mercer, Plymouth. “Creation of new website”
6 grand!
If anyone wants a site like that I'll do it for half that and throw in a years of hosting as well. There will be a fair bit of one off expenses for the newly elected MPs that shouldn't show up in next years figures. Mind you 6 grand for a web site is a bit steep... http://www.johnnyforplymouth.co.uk/
I couldn't see Nicola Sturgeon there.
That'll be because she's not at Westminster.
And you'd still be robbing them blind. If anyone wants a site like that I'll do it for half that and throw in a years of hosting as well.
I was at an executive committee meeting for an organization (sport, not politics) I volunteer for and there was discussion about the website as a new webmaster is needed. Unfortunately, when you get a bunch of people that don't know anything about it talking you do get some strange ideas, about what can be achieved, about what we should be trying to achieve and what it should cost.
Sounds like the Barnett formula also works for expenses.
.
Nah, just a typical labour champagne socialist...Have they extended it to Rochdale? Simon Danczuk - Amount Claimed: 35414.45 | Amount Paid: 35414.45
SsshhhhAnd you'd still be robbing them blind.

Fair point, well presentedThey've decided to become MPs and their place of work happens to be the House of Commons why should they be able to claim travel expenses when they've just changed the rules on contractors claiming travel expenses to their place of work?
