Hi all,

I started with Joomla, moved to wordpress and then thought screw it, i'll hand code it to start with, once I get it all sorted I may look at moving to wordpress.

At the moment, it's an incomplete front page, still needs a few images putting up top and new images taking for the gallery links at the bottom. I am limited to the images I have on me as I am at work :(

I was just wondering if anyone has any feedback, suggestions, complaints. I'd rather deal with it now when it's easier to sort than waiting until I have a complete site :)

I've also got to look at adding other sections to the bottom bar, it's just a case of putting the remaining subjects into as few a categories as possible.

TO DO LIST:

Complete images along the top banner.
Logo & title bar needs something doing with it.
Bottom images need replacing.

That particular style of image navigation seems to be used on a regular bases at the moment. I must have seen it on a few sites this week alone. As a prospective client researching a photographer I wouldn't be surprised if they too see it elsewhere. This, for me, effects the quality of individuality. This doesn't mean its bad, don't get me wrong.

The title bar stretching across 100% of the screen seem out of place compared to the overall layout.

Personally I would hold off making it live until you have nailed it. So, for an index page pop up a little "Under Construction" note and post your designs on a www.stuart-farnell.co.uk/designs.html page. These designs needn't be 100% working (as it is now :)) but it will allow everyone to provide feedback on the appeal.

Hope this helps and good luck!

I'd remove the picture of yourself on the homepage and put it in the "About" section.

Don't forget a "contact" section also.

Yeah, I am really struggling coming up with a design I am 100% happy with. I have the advantage this is more of a personal site, just to show of future work etc.

The title bar is fine on the smaller screens, but I am yet to see it on my 24" widescreen at home :S

And I have amended the link :D thanks
