Can anyone tell me if Devoke Water is fairly accessible?

Wish to take some shots of the classic building sitting into tarn, but one of the party has an Achilles Tendon injury, so needs fairly level access.
Your help will be appreciated.

So no one can help me then?

I have no idea, but try the locations part of the forum as I expect more people will read it and can help.

Thanks Stu, have posted now in that section.

If you google devoke water you will see in photos and on a map a double track access to the boathouse which is a rough dirt road I have never been though I have driven past is that good enough.

Hi,

As mentioned in this thread I've been there recently to take shots, so far as access goes it's accessible from the road by parking up at a crossroads then taking an old bridleway track for about half a mile to the water. The track is clearly marked and decent underfoot. What I would say is the whole area is somewhat boggy in patches even on a dry day like I had a couple of days ago so care needs to be taken when placing your feet. I'd recommend wellies put it that way!
