What fantastic processing, Peter. I fiddle about for ages with all sorts of things and cant make my mind up!

Could you give a rough idea of your methods.

Thanks Janice, I fiddle around for ages then can't make up my mind.

I use lightroom and often start with some of the free WOW presets (available here)

Then just fiddle around, I was looking for a contrasty shot so I upped the contrast and darkened the blacks and sharpened a lot more than I normally would for a portrait.

It's not very flattering really, she's a very attractive and classy lady and the photo is a lot more flattering in colour, but I wanted to go for this effect.

Great character study and very well processed. The crop is one I'd normally consider a bit tight, but i agree it works very well here, in fact I might consider cropping a little tighter at the top just to mirror the tight cropping on the hand.

Super shot, I think the B&W wins hands down but the colour is kinder if you know what I mean.
