I posted a selection of photos in another subforum, but thought I would post just this one photo of a dianthus:

I hardly ever take macro photos so some C&C would be appreciated.

You need to try to get a focal point in your image closer to the centre of the frame or on one of the thirds. All the interesting stuff is on the RHS of the frame, you could almost cut the image in half and lose the LHS without losing anything interesting.

When taking close-ups/macro shots of flowers it can be benificial to try and make a pattern/arty type shot.
