Over my many years as a photographer; I have shot weddings which I enjoyed and others which I didn't like so much.
However, they were all hard work, both physically and mentally.
The two hardest weddings were those of my two darling step-daughters.
After shooting the first girl's wedding, I made up my mind that I would not shoot the second because I missed out being with her mother at that significant time.
However, my younger daughter made it quite clear that she wanted me to shoot her wedding also and I obliged.
Her's was a formal wedding and I had the misfortune to shoot it in a tuxedo. Now that is a really poor outfit for a wedding photographer to wear. Hot, uncomfortable and no pockets to speak of.
All in all, I made a lot of money shooting weddings but, I certainly don't mind being retired. I was scheduled to shoot my oldest daughter's child's wedding and missed out on that because I had to evacuate due to the San Diego, California Firestorm last Fall.
