difference between tamron 17-50 lenses?

That's the same link posted twice, mate, so I'd say yes. ;)

i have the non vc too. Its a great option if you want to save yourself some money.

I've got the non-VC and its on my camera most of the time, a nice walkabout lens.

Should add I'm buying via amazon so any issues it goes back! I've tried both and preferred the weight and zoom lock - as for images untill I do a proper test I won't know so just got to go with my head for now! Will do a decent review - I would have bought second hand but can't find any for sale right now!

I like buying from amazon because of there good returns policy. You could buy a grey import from panamoz? If you need to retun it you send it to there UK address, 14 day no quibble £280 + 5% off if you pay transfer.

i had the non vc first, then realised i wanted the vc. so sold it to get the vc. they say the non vc is sharper, but i couldn't see much difference, so if i was to get another, it'll be the vc. hope that makes sense lol

The VC/non VC debate is void now.

The issues where with the first series VC lens which wasnt as sharp as the non VC version, the newer VC version is as sharp as the non VC and tamrons VC system knocks spots of canons IS, on the 70-300 you can hand hold it at 1/15th of a second and still get a pin sharp image.

Could not agree more, i can't tell any difference between the images plus the vc is heavier an feels more solid and not as toy like as the non vc
