Hi i wish to make a diffuser for my D60's popup flash anyone done this i did the elastic band and tissue trick and it worked but when out in the great outdoors this will get damp so looking for DIY suggestions thank you.

Never tried making one but making something like THIS shouldn't be rocket surgery...

Try a ping pong ball :D, serious it might just work... (with a hole in the bottom to fit it on of course)
 
I use a handle from a plastic 6 pint milk bottle.
The only problem I've found is the flash goes to the side.
 
Good ideas ive made one out of milk carton but its a bit clear one on top of the other worked ok now ping pong balls let me see.

A free and effective diffuser can be made in seconds from one of those semi-translucent white 35mm film canisters. Cut a slot to snugly over the flash, then snap the cap back on and shoot some nice softly lit pictures. If you can’t find a white canister at home, pop into you local high street photography shop or film laboratory as they will have tons of ‘em.
