Diffusing a speedlight?

Just wondering what the best way to soften the light from a flashgun is if I'm using it on the camera. I have the Yongnuo 560iii.

I have a shoot through brollie but that is awkward to hold up at the camera...(I've tried) lol

Try a Rogue flashbender

Just looked that up. Never even knew they made anything like that lol. I've always just used a bit of card of something like that taped to the flash if I don't want the light to hit certain places.

Will have a look into that, cheers. It will come in handy for other stuff as well so I don't need to root through my kids arts and craft things to make my own bender

Those little stofens aren't great. I have one in my bag but rarely use it now I heave the bender

I use that now over the stofens indoor. For ocf work I use the flashbender and diffusion panel which turns it into a mini softbox.

Uses it nicely for a bit of fill as a softbox and also as a bounce style card (I'll look at the results when I get home) at a friends party!

As above, we use Rogue flash benders on both our of camera flashes
