Digital archiving

Evening y'all.

I'm doing a project looking at digital archiving for imaging, and I was wondering if you fine people could help me out. If you could spend a minute telling me how you ensure you keep those wonderful snaps you all take to show your grandchildren, I would appreciate it very much.

Snaps get printed and a digital copy or 2 saved on HDDs. Holiday snaps also get transferred to CD/DVD. Photographs also generally get printed and 3 digital copies get saved on HDDs and optical disk copies also made.

No kids so no grandkids but I get the gist of the idea of the question! All files saved as JPEGs, SOOC and in the case of files that have needed sorting, max res JPEGs of the edit also saved in a subfolder.
