Hi all

Does anyone know of or have any opinions on the Online Photography course advertised on Groupon today for £49. 16 modules and unlimited time for course completion. sounds pretty good but I do not know anything about them, looked at their website but did not appear to be working properly. Quite a few people have already signed up. Any thoughts appreciated.

regards bob

I signed up with the Groupon offer this morning. Thought for £49 it was worth a try and it may help me get a bit more enthusiasm to go out with the camera again.

I don't know anything about this course in particular but distance learning/online courses rely on a high degree of self-motivation to complete, a local college or a "hands-on" workshop would probably be much better if motivation is a key factor

I was thinking of this course too. The details..

16 module online photography course from digitalmasters:
• Introduction to photography
• Digital photography
• Exposure: shutter speed
• Exposure: aperture
• Basic composition
• Advanced composition
• Understanding of light
• Shooting black and white
• Travel photography part 1
• Travel photography part 2
• Portraits
• People and their environments
• Insiders’ tricks and techniques
• Common pitfalls and how to avoid them
• Advanced Photographic Evidence part 1
• Advanced Photographic Evidence part 2

Motivation not a factor.

For a beginner, do you think is this a good course to take? How does the price (50 quid) and areas covered (above) compare to others that you might have experience of?

Sounds worthwhile for fifty quid. I looked at lots of courses but local college was no good and the oca one is way over the top for a hobbiest like myself. Thanks for heads up

my girlfriend went on a groupon workshop in Greenwich with Mark Andreani recently, he's got his own online course for £29, looks better value: http://www.dslrworkshopsonline.com

-looks like you get online group chat and personal feedback too on your pics
