Hey all!

I brought my 300D Second Hand, and i love it. been shooting loads since i got it a week or so ago.

When i look through the view finder, there is black specks on it... But these don't show on my picutres? What/where are they? Can i get rid of them?

Cheers!

They are either on the mirror or on the viewfinder itself. If you carefully take the lens off, you will see a mirror that is pointing diagonally up, the specs will be on that, or on the "viewfinder" it is pointing at. A quick blow will get rid of it, but i'd be careful because you don't want to draw dust towards the sensor! If you an live with it, i'd leave it; after all it isn't affecting your photos :)

You could also just poke a little painting brush (a new unused one of course) onto the mirror or viewfinder and wipe the dirt off. I'm probably giving terrible advice here though Lol.

Cheers mate! Quick blow sorted it out nicely!

I have a similar issue with my 450D.. It doesn't affect the pictures but it is annoying everytime I look through the viewfinder :D But I always forget to clean it
