Dirty Little secret Of Inkjets

Yuk!
Expensive YUK

im not sure why people get so angry about it to be honest.
And for the record laser printers have a waste toner bottle too not quite the same but similar.

i leave my canon on all the time, means it's not always priming the heads.

My first post but might be helpful regarding this topic.
I too have an Epson inkjet. I use a continuous ink tank system with it.
Some time ago it stopped with the message as seen in the video.
After a bit of googling I found a utility to reset the counter and the printer started working again. A trawl on youtube and I found a video explaining how to modify the printer to divert the ink into a small bottle using a bit of tube.
Printer now works fine and not buying cartridges save a small fortune.

why not post a link to that video

Seems abit overkill, how often does this happen, i've never heard anyone have this message on screen, I guess it doesn't really apply to the home user that does an average amount of printing. I only get through 3 or 4 sets of carts a year and pay £10 for 3 sets of compatibles.
