DNS Help Needed

For sometime now I have been having issues with my browser and email connection to the Internet on my old Dell XPS 15.
It keeps failing to connect to websites and comes up with the error message:-
DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET

All the time the laptop itself is showing that it does have an Internet connection, (fan symbol rather than mesh globe and shows 'secured, connected'), everything always continues to work fine on the iPhone & iPads.

I have been using Opera (my default) today and after lunch it started playing up again so I switched to Edge and the problem went away ... until a while ago. I rebooted the laptop and everything is now okay ... until the next time ... and that is the regular pattern.

I have switched my router to use Google Public DNS ages ago.
I have recently used ipconfig/flushdns each day.
Done ipconfig/release ... ipconfig/renew.
Browsers are all up-to-date.
Windows Home 10 20H2 Ver 2002 Build 19042.630.
16GB memory.

Any ideas welcome. :)

I'm on the Pro version of the same build but haven't seen this. My router is using my ISP's default DNS. Do you have another laptop or PC you can configure in a simlar fashion to try to pin it down to PC or router/link?
 
1. If your PC is using a static IP address with your router, get it to use DCHP

2. Set the secondary DNS lookup servers on your router to be something other than Googles public server

3.Try getting your router to use the DNS provided by your ISP

4. Delete the files in: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

5. Delete the DNS cache in Opera
Type:

opera://net-internals/#dns

Into the address bar

6. Remember some routers have a DNS cache too, you might need to release or renew this

No static IP it's using DCHP.
I changed to Google's DNS because the problem started whilst using the ISP's (Vodafone) DNS.
 
I personally use Cloudflare's DNS: 1.1.1.3 and 1.0.0.3 (secondary).

This configuration stops malware coming in - It also stops porn.

I don't care about porn but because both Malware AND porn are stopped, if I type in a porn site and it gets stopped then, by extension, I can be fairly confidant that malware has also been stopped.

Cloudflare also has setings for IPv6 which I also use.

I've had no problems using these settings.

Porn is often used as bait to get people to click links and install stuff they otherwise wouldn't, so banning both is a good idea.
