do all nikon lenses come with rear screw cover cap as well as the front pinch cap?

just wondering because I seem to be a cap missing somewhere,sure the 35 mm came with both?

The lens that came on the camera body may mean you have one missing! Have you got a body cap?
 
yes mark the lens came with the body in the box but not attached so it must have had a cap on,i have a whitish cap which i don't know what its from but that doesn't cover the metal studs around the rear of the lens
 
Yeah the opace white one comes with it
 
My Nikon lenses are old MF ones from the 70s, but all the lenses I've bought new - including the one that came with my 30D body - had both caps.

Nah! I think my 50mm 1.8 came with one! Tight buggers
 
oh so do you think the 35mm 1,8 cam e with the white one or the kit lens in the camera box?
 
I can't say for sure! Actually I seem to remember my 10.5mm fisheye came with one!
 
Just buy another black one and throw away the bloody opaque one
 
Kit lenses tend to come with the opaque cap.
You can get black ones off ebay for £1 for three.
I kept losing them, but now I keep finding them...
 
My 50mm came with a Pentax K-mount rear cap! Far from new and very cheap. ;) The bayonet fitting caps stay on far better than the opaque polythene ones and are (IMO) worth getting as replacements for them.
 
You can't have her!!! One's more than enough for us.
 
My 50mm 1.8 came with the white plastic push on one too!

...but I swapped it onto a lens I was getting shot of as I hated it! :D

I thought only the 18-55 kit lenses came with the opaque ones but you find them on others as people swap them out when they sell on lenses.

My 50mm 1.8 was new and my 18-55 came with my D40 with no cap and was sold the same, so not in my case. :)
