Do I make the move to full frame or not?

No
Currently I have a Pentax k5 which I am pretty happy with, but I'm wondering whether I should make the move to full frame.

I am primarily a landscape photographer. But experiment in other areas as well.
but would it in your opinions be a worthwhile step up?

Thanks in advance for your input!

Sorry if I have misunderstood, but the 7D is a crop camera.

There is no doubt that for a landscape photographer, FF is the way to go IMO. There really is a certain buzz to FF landscape shots which crops cannot replicate.

Whoops so it is! Thought it was full frame! Ok so question is now what would be my best way to move up to full frame and what to go for?

Depends on your budget I guess! A superb landscape set up would be something like a Canon 5D and a 16-35mm lens... But it is going to set you back a small fortune :p

Well I'm biased, but you won't go far wrong with a Canon 5D Mark II and an EF 17-40 F4L, which new would be around say £2000. But possibly cheaper.

As above, the 5d2 would be a good choice but you could also consider a Canon 1Ds Mk2. Good used examples would set you back under £1500 including a 17-40L.

I think I would go for the 5d mk2 ideally. Is the 1d mk2 as good for landscape work?

Another vote for the 5D MKii , it's a fabulous camera. I've had mine a couple of years now & have never regretted buying it. Unlike some of my other camera buys

5dmk 2 here also. Plenty going cheap enough in the classifieds here too.
