Decided to bake some cherry shortbread this afternoon, and once I got everything out, thought about getting the camera out too (hence the impromptu chopping board background)

Get all the ingredients together


Sift the flours, add the butter and rub together


Add the sugar and cherries


Mix together to form a dough, then put into baking trays


Put in the oven for 30-40 minutes until golden.

In the meantime, tidy up and find something to occupy yourself




Once cooked, remove from oven and slice whilst still warm


Remove from trays to finish cooling, and then hide from hepburn! :LOL:

Next time I might take food photography a bit more seriously, but it was something fun and a break from working! Don't know what it tastes like yet, it's still cooling down!
 
Are you sure you're not doing some advertising for Tesco on the sly...?! ;)

Yummy, although I don't like cherries, this looks lovely :D
