Do you ever 'clean' your flickr?

Yes
What I mean by 'clean' your flickr (or any other picture holding site) is do you go through your pictures and delete the poor ones or update your stream?
Or do you rather keep it as a time-line portfolio to show how you've improved/changed over the years?

I'm tempted to really go through mine and do some major cleaning sessions but I can't seem to find the determination. So many pictures would be taken offline (but I'm pretty sure they're backed up somewhere on hard disks).

I've cleared out some poor quality photos recently - though on flikr it's a bit laborious - you have to do them one at a time.

Defo yeah.

I deleted a whole lot of pics I took when I first started photography. They were deleted yesterday.

Some more deleted today.

Also deleted from my facebook albums.

My Flickr looks much "cleaner" now.

I used to delete more often before I bought a pro account...

Now I would say once every few months, I might go through and delete the older / lower quality shots...

I don't clean mine at all...for me it's a reminder of where I started and where I am now.

If I was happy enough to put them on there at the time, then I see no reason to remove them.

Mind you, my Flickr is purely for me, my friends and family, so I have nothing to prove to anyone.

I'm not even going to answer that one!! ;)

True. This is similar to the logic of saying one shouldn't have any regrets as any action was once something you wanted to do at a given time.

I'm wondering whether the best thing would be to get two flickr accounts, maybe one pro and one free, and use one for family and one for non-family photos.

Yep

I deleted hundreds off my flickr when I was disillusioned with photography

I now try to keep mine within 1700 (which is still far too many) and get rid of the ones that make me look less creative.

Flickr is like a game, a game that I haven't quite yet learned to play. I did notice that uploading loads in one go and having to many doesn't help to get exposure.

No. I like to think of it as a timeline that's grown over the years :)

Click "Organise & Create", drag photos from the bottom scrollbar into the negative space at the top, click the "Edit Photos" drop down arrow in the top left, click delete. Job done.

I had a clearout of all my P&S shots when I got my DSLR. They were just snapshots, and I had been using Flickr as a dumping ground for everything. Now it's a dumping ground for loads of DSLR stuff. I should have a clearout really.
