Do you have a preference ??

Out in North Wales amongst the relatively little known and infrequently visted Berwyn Mountains..weather was terrific and on the way back down the mountain I decided to re-try a shot I've taken before, would appreciate some C&C regarding a preferred composition & why ??

Definitely number 4 for me. More mountain, less stile. The extra patch of foreground gorse adds a little interest too.

I find the stile too dominant and not particularly attractive in the first two. Likewise for the fence in no.3

Are you sure that's the Berwyns? Where's the rain?

Same here, #4 is the one for me, makes you look at the picture rather than the stye

Thanks for the replies, very helpful.....this was more a hike in the mountains/scouting exercise with the intention being to catch the shot again in future in better lighting

Have to agree no 4 is the one.
No1 I would crop the foreground so that the gate is in the bottom right corner. Also I would tone the gate down to make it less dominate.
No 3 the left fence post is too strong and it doesn't work just to crop it out.
