Ignorance.... noun...."the state of being unaware or uninformed"
Synonym..... "unfamiliarity"
Antonym.... "familiarity"

I look at the word 'ignorance' in the context of someone being 'unfamiliar' with 'something'..
I see an ignorant person as someone choosing not to make themselves 'familiar' with 'something'...

And, that is MY opinion, I couldn't care less if it was shared by others....
